Starting
and running an NLP practice group Read about the pack, download it, read some of the articles it contains |
If you've been reading past issues of the Group's newsletter, Living NLP, you'll know that some time ago we were asked by Francesc Camps i Ratera in Spain if we have any information on how to start and run an NLP practice group. At the time we were extremely busy actually running the Group and didn't have any information to hand. So we turned to you. In Living NLP we said, "If you know anything about starting and running an NLP practice group, could you please put it onto paper or disk and send it to us". The response was enough to allow us to put together a considerable amount of material. The Starting and Running a Practice Group pack is the result.
The pack consists of 28 files, some taken from the archives of the group and some from contributors who have successfully run other NLP practice groups. Some of these files are copies of articles about the groups, some are documents used in the day-to-day running of the groups, and some are guidelines on starting up and running an NLP practice group. Some of them can be seen from our Articles page.
The documents in this 110Kb zipped archive are in Rich Text Format (.rtf), saved from Microsoft Word 97. If you would like an archived copy saved in another format, e-mail us and we'll convert it if we can. If you'd like a printed copy, we require a donation to the group (payable to The Central London NLP Group) to cover printing, photocopying and postage costs. E-mail us for further details.
The pack was compiled by Marysia Kurowski and Garry Knight, members of the group since 1993/4. We hope that it is of some use to you, and we hope that it sparks enough ideas in you that you not only create a working practice group, but that it lasts at least as long as ours has.
We would especially like to thank the following people all of whom have contributed to this pack, some of whom have contributed a great deal of time and energy to keeping the London NLP Group going for a total of over eight years now. In alphabetical order, they are: Nick Driscoll, Ken Duckett, James Lawley, Richard Selby-Boothroyd, John Seymour, Jilly Shaul, Andy Smith, Paul Thomas, Penny Tompkins, and of course Francesc, whose letters started our quest.
